Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee

Nell Wesemann

DEI Chair

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DEI) fosters a welcoming, inclusive chapter by supporting diverse membership and volunteer engagement. The committee coordinates programs, builds awareness, and partners with other committees such as MP, Student Activities, CTTC and YEA to attract, retain, and empower members from all backgrounds while creating opportunities for connection and professional growth.

What We Do

We work to make the Idaho Chapter a place where everyone in the built-environment professions feels welcome – broadening participation in our industry and in ASHRAE.

  • Plan inclusive chapter events and socials
  • Outreach that broadens participation in HVAC&R careers
  • Partner with YEA and Student Activities on joint events
  • Bring DEI programming and speakers to the chapter

Get Involved

Everyone is welcome on this committee – if you care about making our chapter and industry more welcoming, come lend a hand.

Volunteer

New volunteers are always welcome - no committee experience needed.
