Historical Committee
The Historical Committee preserves the chapter’s legacy by documenting major events, collecting photos and records, interviewing long-time members, and maintaining archives. The committee prepares annual updates, supports newsletter content, creates historical displays, and contributes materials for regional and Society-level history awards.
What We Do
We preserve the Idaho Chapter’s story – from our 1980 charter to today – keeping the records, photos, and memories that connect each generation of members to the last.
- Maintain chapter records and archives since 1980
- Collect photos and memorabilia from chapter events
- Keep the Past Presidents roll and chapter milestones
- Contribute chapter history to ASHRAE Society archives

Any chapter member – and joining a committee is one of the best ways to get more out of your ASHRAE membership.
As much or as little as you can give. Most committee work happens around monthly chapter meetings, with occasional events during the year.
Talk to Jordan Pratt or Eric Tabert at a chapter meeting, or let any chapter officer know you’re interested in the Historical Committee.
