March Chapter Meeting

I will be driving all day so call if you have any questions. 208-890-5214 The March ASHRAE meeting is hoping to be a very informative roundtable talk on controls and many of the current issues around interoperability in control systems. We will have five industry professionals from the Boise market speaking and answering questions. In order to keep this talk focused the questions have been submitted and supplied to the speakers. The talk will be moderated to keep discussion moving. Below is the list of questions. If time permits additional questions will be taken from the audience. Questions: · How do you see technology advances, such as wireless controllers or smart phones, playing into the future of HVAC Controls? · What are your thoughts on integrating with equipment manufacturers? · How can you minimize the amount of time for system integration between Equipment Suppliers and Controls contractors with open protocol integration such as BACnet or LonTalk? · What are your thoughts of the controls commissioning process? · What do you think about the migration from older control systems? · What do think about integration with non HVAC systems like lighting systems, power monitoring, door access and security cameras? · As a control contractor, what are the largest challenges or issues you face? · What is new in the controls world?
